DEFORD has developed 5 new models of sodium-ion starting batteries for its Proof-of-Concept program.

Our sodium-ion starting battery POC testing has been successfully completed for 5 months. During these 5 months of testing, we have received positive feedback from customers who participated in the POC project. Based on this feedback, we are continuously improving our sodium-ion starting battery BMS algorithm to ensure maximum compatibility with as many as possible vehicle brands and models.

 

In Q2 2025, we released five sodium-ion starting batteries primarily for use in European vehicles. Due to increased demand from customers in other countries and regions wishing to participate in our POC testing, we released 5 new sodium-ion starting battery models in November 2025, primarily for use in Japanese, American vehicles.

 

 

These 5 newly released sodium-ion starter batteries are also equipped with an intelligent battery management system. This provides users with an unparalleled user experience and reliable product safety.

 

We will continue to support our customers in conducting POC tests, which will continue until Q1 2026. At that time, we will be able to compile all the test data and provide optimal algorithm for our BMS. We maintain tight cooperation with our customers to ensure our sodium-ion starting batteries are fully prepared for market launch in Q2 2026.
